Allegedly sexually assaulting and inappropriately touching underage girls has led to an Iowa City man’s arrest.

36-year-old Marvin Ramos of Vesti Lane was booked into the Johnson County Jail just before 10pm Friday. According to Iowa City Police, in August on 2010 Ramos sexually assaulted a 14-year-old relative against her will on two separate occasions at a residence on Hawaii Court. He also allegedly groped her on multiple occasions, many times while she was bathing.

Ramos is also accused of groping another girl at the same residence between 2012 and 2016. The girl was between the ages of 8 and 12 during that timeframe. She recounted one occasion when she was 12 when Ramos allegedly pulled out his penis while sitting on a couch as she was walking by. The girl said Ramos knew she saw it because he later joked about it.

Ramos is charged with 3rd Degree Sexual Abuse, Assault with Intent to Commit Sexual Abuse, Lascivious Acts With a Child, Incest, and two counts of Indecent Contact with a Child. If convicted on all charges, he faces a maximum of 31 years in prison.
