University of Iowa Police are looking for a burglary suspect.

School officials received a report that a male subject entered a room at an east side residence hall early Thursday morning and climbed the sleeping resident’s lofted bed, grabbed her ankles and pulled her blankets. When confronted, the subject fled the room. This incident remains under investigation.

UI Police say they strongly encourage all residence hall occupants and those in the campus community to lock their doors at all times, even if they are only leaving their rooms for a short time. Residents are also encouraged to report suspicious activity immediately by calling 9-1-1.
