Allegedly assaulting his fiancé and a juvenile has led to an Iowa City man’s arrest.
Johnson County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a residence on Metric Road in the Modern Manor manufactured housing community just after 11:15 Friday night for a juvenile who had been assaulted by an adult. The 17-year-old said 41-year-old Todd White of 3rd Avenue had attacked him at a nearby residence on Erobi Lane as a result of a separate assault between White and his fiancée. The boy had a fresh scratch behind his right ear and bruises on his right eyebrow and left cheek. A second juvenile confirmed the first juvenile’s account of the attack.
White’s fiancé told police he had slapped her in the face, knocking her glasses off. The two have lived together for about a year.
White admitted to consuming a significant amount of alcohol.
White was booked into the Johnson County Jail just after 11pm Saturday and charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury and two counts of Domestic Abuse Assault. If convicted on all counts, he faces a maximum of over three years in prison.
