Phil Vassar announced as headliner for Coralville 4th Fest

Country singer/songwriter and performer Phil Vassar will headline Coralville’s free outdoor concert as part of the city’s 4th fest.

Vassar’s concert will be at S.T. Morrison Park on Thursday evening, July 3, with special guest Chapel Hartopening the show at 6:30 pm.

Phil Vassar’s songwriting career blossomed in the mid-‘90s. He wrote hits for country stars like Collin Raye,  Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw,  Jo Dee Messina , and Blackhawk.

Vassar was honored as ASCAP’s Country Songwriter of the Year in both 1999 and 2001 and has nine of his own albums to his credit.

The 4thFest concert is one of many long-standing Independence Day traditions in Coralville, which include a parade, carnival, and fireworks. To learn more about 4thFest, visit www.coralville.org4thFest.
