A Coralville woman was arrested after allegedly assaulting her husband.
According to the police report, 34-year-old Mirhiam Winston and her spouse were in their 9th Street residence March 21st as he was gathering his things in an attempt to leave. Winston allegedly tried to stop him from leaving the apartment and began hitting him in the head and face.
When interviewed, the husband said the alleged assault caused pain, and left visible marks to the face and head.
A warrant was issued for Winston’s arrest; she was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault causing Injury, a serious misdemeanor punishable by a jail sentence of up to one year if convicted.
