A North Liberty man has been charged after he was allegedly found with burglar tools during a traffic stop.

Police say 40-year-old Dustin Stucker of Golfview Court was stopped for an undisclosed traffic violation on the 800 block of Highway 6 East on March 4th just after 7pm.  Upon a K9 search of the vehicle, several sets of labeled keys and burglar tools were found.

An investigation determined that the keys had been reportedly stolen during a previous burglary in Iowa City and were identified by the business manager.

A warrant was issued for Stucker’s arrest this week. He had his initial appearance and was charged with possession of burglar’s tools and 5th degree theft against an older individual. Stucker was released pending arraignment. If convicted on both charges, he could be sentenced to up to three years in prison.
