A Hills woman was arrested over the weekend after allegedly assaulting her two roommates.
The incident occurred Saturday night at the Oak Street residence of 39-year-old Cherrish Puckett. According to police, she got into a physical fight with a roommate, with whom she’s lived with for four years.
Puckett allegedly put her hand around the roommate’s neck and repeatedly hit her in the head, leaving a visible swollen bruise. Another roommate stepped in to attempt to break up the fight, but Puckett allegedly assaulted him, leaving a dark and visible bruise and a scratch to his arm.
Puckett was arrested and charged with Domestic Abuse Assault causing Injury and Assault causing bodily injury. If convicted on both counts, she could be sentenced to up to two years in jail.
A no-contact order was requested by both roommates and issued by Judge Christopher Foster. Puckett was released on her own recognizance Monday, pending future court dates.
