The University of Iowa men’s basketball team has another gap to fill in next season’s lineup.

After the UI announced on Friday that head coach Fran McCaffery would not be returning, four-star recruit Joshua Lewis, a 6-foot-7 forward from Tampa, Florida, has de-committed from the program.

Iowa’s 2025 recruiting class, which also includes four-star forward Badara Diakite and three-star forward Dezmon Briscoe, was considered one of McCaffery’s best recruiting classes.

Sophomores Owen Freeman, Brock Harding and Pryce Sandfort have already entered the transfer portal since McCaffery was let go.
