A Cedar Rapids man has been transported to University of Iowa Health Care following a late Friday night accident on Interstate 380.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, 64-year-old James Henry Wick III was driving a 2011 Jeep Wrangler northbound on I-380 at 10:15 p.m. when he drifted into the median near the Highway 30 overpass and struck a guardrail. The vehicle spun, and Wick was ejected through the roof.
Wick was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital, and then transferred to UIHC. As of Saturday morning, he was listed as being in critical condition.
