A Sigourney man wanted in connection with an observed sale of methamphetamine was located and arrested Friday.
Back on November 1st, 38-year-old Adam Fry of North Jefferson Street was on the 1000 block of Wade Street and allegedly observed by law enforcement selling 1.47 grams of methamphetamine during a controlled purchase. The transaction reportedly took place within 1000 feet of a school. The substance tested positive for meth by the Department of Criminal Investigation lab.
A warrant for his arrest was issued February 27th.
On Friday, law enforcement located Fry walking near the intersection of 1st Avenue and Muscatine Avenue and was taken into custody. A post-arrest search allegedly turned up a bag of methamphetamine weighing approximately 4.6 grams
Fry was charged with Meth possession. With the Class C Controlled Substance violation from November, he faces a prison sentence of up to 11 years if convicted on both counts.
