The execution of a search warrant at a North Liberty mobile home park has led to the arrest of a Hope House resident who was allegedly found hiding under clothing in a closet.
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office executed the warrant on a residence in the Holiday Lodge manufactured housing community at 10:30 Monday morning. Deputies gave instructions that anyone inside the trailer must make themselves known.
A subsequent search reportedly turned up 21-year-old Thomas Lambert hiding in a closet with clothing over his head. Deputies say Lambert kept trying to hide even after being told to exit the closet, so he was pulled out by force.
Marijuana was allegedly found in Lambert’s pocket. He’s now charged with Interference With Official Acts and Possession of a Controlled Substance. If convicted on both counts, he faces a maximum of 13 months in jail.
