The City of Iowa City is now accepting applications for the Human Rights Grant program through Tuesday, April 1st.
The program aims to support projects that contribute to the advancement of human rights in the community.
To be eligible, projects must meet at least one of the following criteria:
-Build capacity to organize communities around human rights;
-Strengthen the ability to mobilize communities in support of human rights; and
-Educate the public on human rights, such as organizing and facilitating educational public forums that address one or more of the broad range of human rights topics.
The City Council has allocated $100,000 for Fiscal Year 2025 to fund eligible projects.
