The frigid weather and recent snow have postponed another Iowa City road construction project.
City officials announced on Wednesday that work on Riverside Drive that was supposed to start last week will now begin on Thursday, February 27th. Earlier this week the city announced projects on Court Street and Southgate Avenue would also be delayed due to inclement weather.
Northbound traffic on Riverside Drive will be reduced to one lane between Benton Street and Myrtle Avenue starting next Thursday. The lane reduction will facilitate the removal of two street light poles in the area. It is anticipated normal traffic will resume by the end of the day.
