
IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa senior Hannah Lindsay has been named Big Ten Co-Player of the Week, it was announced Monday by the conference. This is the first conference honor for Lindsay in her career.
The Surprise, Arizona, native hit .667 in four-games at the Lion Invitational at East Texas A&M. In her 12 at-bats, she tallied eight hits, four runs and 16 RBIs. Three of her eight hits were three-run home runs. The Hawkeyes went 4-0 in Commerce, Texas with three run-rule victories.
Against East Texas A&M on Friday, Lindsay was perfect at the plate with 4 RBIs and two walks. Lindsay was responsible for bringing in all four runs for the Hawkeyes in the game. Against Abilene Christian on Saturday, Lindsay went 2-for-4 with two three-run home runs and a career-high six RBIs. It was the second multi-home run game of her career. Lindsay currently ranks third in the conference in RBIs (16) and 14th nationally.
This is the first Big Ten Player of the Week honor for the Hawkeyes since the 2023 season.
The Hawkeyes travel to Miami on Friday to take on Lafayette at 2 p.m. (CT) and FIU at 4:30 p.m. (CT).
