Members of the Iowa City City Council will hold a town hall meeting with members of University of Iowa student government on Tuesday.
University of Iowa Undergraduate Student Government will host the event from 7 to 9 Tuesday night during its regular meeting at the Iowa Memorial Union’s Black Box Theater. Councilors scheduled to attend include Laura Bergus, Megan Alter, Josh Moe, Shawn Harmsen, and mayor Bruce Teague.
UISG representatives say it’s important for councilors to be able to address students face-to-face. Deputy City Liaison Ava Martinez told The Daily Iowan that they were told no questions were off-limits.
