A Marion woman faces charges after she was allegedly found with narcotics during a traffic stop in Tiffin.

At around 1:30 Sunday morning, 34-year-old Alexandra Thompson was located in a 2003 Buick parked in the travel portion of South Park Road. While checking her driving status, she allegedly got out of the vehicle and refused to get back inside. Thompson was then ordered to walk back towards the deputies and again refused and pulled away.

Her driving status came back as suspended.

A K9 was used during the stop, and narcotics were reportedly located, as well as needles and a pipe with meth residue.

Thompson was arrested and charged with Interference with Official Acts, Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd or subsequent offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia. If convicted on all counts, she could be sentenced to over five years in prison.
