An Iowa City woman has reached a plea deal with prosecutors after making violent threats to Mercy Hospital Clinic in Iowa City last year.
Police say 48-year-old Stephanie Robinson made threats by phone to shoot up the clinic and kill staff on January 18th, putting the clinic on lockdown.
Investigators identified Robinson as the culprit and arrested her the following day.
In the plea deal, a terrorism charge was dropped and Robinson instead waived her right to trial and pleaded guilty so simple harassment. She was sentenced to 12 hours in jail, with credit for time already served.
