A Coralville man has been arrested after allegedly violating a no-contact agreement and assaulting the subject of the order.

Police were called to the 4th Avenue residence of the victim Saturday afternoon after allegedly being visited by 27-year-old Spencer Wilkinson despite a no-contact order issued December 19th in Floyd County.

According to the victim, Wilkinson struck them in the face, leaving a red mark and causing pain.

Wilkinson was located later in a bar and arrested.  A check of his criminal record showed a previous conviction for domestic abuse assault in Floyd County last month that prompted the no-contact order.

Wilkinson was charged with violating the no-contact order, Domestic Abuse Assault 2nd offense, and Assault Committed by a Person Against Whom a Protective Order was Issued. If convicted on all counts, he could be sentenced to up to over six years in prison.
