A convicted sex offender wanted for failing to meet the terms of his release was arrested Sunday.
38-year-old Lattiney Lockett had an arrest warrant issued for failing to report to the Johnson County Sheriff’s office and update his address on November 1st. He had been released from the County Jail on September 9th for failing to report in July, and has a history of registration violations going back to 2014.
Lockett was convicted of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child in 2006.
At around 12:30 am Sunday, an officer who recognized Lockett from previous interactions caught up with him near Discount Tire on Coral Ridge Avenue. When asked for his name, Lockett provided a false first and last name.
He was arrested on the warrant as well as for providing false identification. If convicted on the charges, he could be sentenced to over five years in prison.
