A Galesburg man has been arrested and faces drug charges after a traffic stop.
Police say 20-year-old Antonio Reed was in a 2018 Dodge Charger stopped on Northbound Interstate 380 near mile marker 5 at 11:10 pm Saturday. Upon contact, the vehicle had a strong odor of marijuana, and a probable cause search allegedly turned up multiple bags with marijuana, empty bags labeled as marijuana, vapes and scales. The items were reportedly discovered in the glove box where Reed was seated, while others were found behind the front seat. Reed reportedly admitted to ownership of all items.
He was charged with Marijuana possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia. If convicted, he could face up to 13 months in jail.
