An Iowa City man arrested on OWI and drug charges faces possible prison time after he was found with marijuana inside the Johnson County Jail.

24-year-old Jaywoski Lucas of Scott Park Drive was reportedly seen driving a Chrysler 300 westbound on Court Street around 4:30 Saturday afternoon.  The vehicle allegedly had illegal tint on its windows and he had trouble maintaining his lane, swerving into oncoming traffic multiple times.

A traffic stop was initiated, and Lucas reportedly had the heavy odor of marijuana and bloodshot eyes.  A probable cause search allegedly found an ashtray containing multiple roaches. The center console had marijuana residue and cigars that Lucas reportedly admitted he used to smoke marijuana.  A search of his person turned up a baggie of marijuana stuffed into his pants.  Lucas reportedly admitted to having last smoked marijuana at around 10am that day.

Field tests showed measurable impairment; a PBT showed no alcohol on his breath. A urine sample was collected to be tested.

Lucas was charged with OWI first offense and marijuana possession. He was taken to the Johnson County Jail, and a strip search allegedly discovered a Dutch cigar containing marijuana hidden in his underwear. An additional charge of Possession of Contraband in a Correctional Institution brings his total potential maximum prison sentence to seven years.
