An Iowa City man was arrested after allegedly causing a disturbance at a credit union branch.
While at the Greenstate Credit Union branch on Mormon Trek Boulevard Thursday afternoon, 46-year-old Christopher Starbuck of Solar Street allegedly made threats towards the staff. When officers arrived on scene, they noticed Starbuck’s truck in the parking lot despite his barred driving status.
Officers spoke with Starbuck and he reportedly admitted to driving to the bank.
Starbuck was taken into custody and allegedly thrashed his body around and pulled away from officers while they were attempting to subdue him.
Starbuck has been charged with Driving While Barred and Interference with Official Acts. He faces a possible maximum jail sentence of 25 months if convicted on both counts.
Starbuck was released from custody on his own recognizance Friday and will be arraigned at a later date.
