A Cedar Rapids man was taken into custody Thursday on a warrant stemming from an incident at Coral Ridge Mall earlier in the month.

On the evening of December 12th, 21 year old Ceondae Adams of 16th Street NE was at Scheels. According to police, he purposely and without a legitimate purpose, engaged in behavior intended to threaten, intimidate, annoy and/or alarm his alleged victim. Investigators allegedly determined that Adams intentionally maintained visual and physical proximity with the victim without their awareness. He reportedly followed the victim around the store, hid behind shopping aisles, and appeared to take photographs of the victim.

Adams then allegedly slashed the front driver’s side and rear passenger side tires of a vehicle belonging to an individual who was associated with the victim.

A warrant was issued on December 20th; Adams was booked at the Johnson County Jail Thursday and charged with 4th degree Criminal Mischief and 3rd degree Harassment. If convicted on the charges, Adams could be sentenced to up to 13 months in jail.

He posted bond and awaits arraignment.
