A wanted Iowa City man was arrested Tuesday afternoon after a reported trespassing incident.

Iowa City Police were called to Cross Park Place just after 3:45 p.m. for a subject on the grounds of the facility who had been previously banned. Arriving officers found the suspect, 32-year-old Xavier Turner of Ash Street, near the intersection of Cross Park Avenue and Keokuk Street. A search of his person reportedly turned up a glass pipe with suspected drug residue, and Turner was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Turner was wanted for failing to appear at a December 2nd arraignment on an Assault Causing Bodily Injury charge. If convicted on the two charges currently against him, Turner faces a maximum of 13 months in jail.
