A wanted Washington County man has been taken into custody after he was reportedly found living in a shed in Wellman.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office received a report just after 2:30 Saturday morning about a man the caller believed was being forced to live in a shed on 2nd Street with only a space heater to keep him warm. Officers responded to the shed and found 27-year-old Jacob Lloyd, who allegedly claimed he was staying in the shed voluntarily and was not being forced to do so.
Lloyd had a warrant for his arrest from Henry County through the Iowa State Patrol. Online court records show he missed an October pretrial conference on charges of Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability and Driving While Suspended.
Lloyd was taken into the custody of the State Patrol, who returned him to Henry County.
