Phone lines for University of Iowa Campus Safety were temporarily off-line on Thursday.
That’s according to a pair of HawkAlerts sent out by the UI. The first alert sent at 7:28 Thursday morning said Campus Safety was experiencing a phone service interruption to many of its phone lines, including its non-emergency line. 9-1-1 was still operational.
An 11:47 a.m. HawkAlert announced that the non-emergency line, elevator phones, and phones in areas of refuge were back to functioning normally.
The interruption did not impact other university phone lines.
