A University of Iowa student attending Friday’s football game never got in after allegedly refusing to cooperate with authorities and having fake ID’s on his person.

The 19-year-old man was attempting to get into Kinnick Stadium just before 5pm and was subjected to a secondary search prior to gaining stadium access.  He had numerous items in his pocket and was asked to empty them.

The student showed signs of intoxication, including the odor of alcohol on his breath and bloodshot watery eyes.  After a search, he admitted to concealing alcohol shooters.  The student was asked to identify himself, but he allegedly refused and would not answer any questions.

A search incident to arrest reportedly turned up two fictitious IDs making him appear to be of legal drinking age.

The student, a resident of Catlett Hall, was taken into custody and charged with interference with official acts, public intoxication, and two counts of possession of fictitious ID. If convicted on all counts, the man could be sentenced to up to 26 months in jail.
