A reported stabbing two years ago has led to a fine against an Iowa City man.

Iowa City Police say 22-year-old Aden Abram of 5th Avenue was seen walking up to another person inside Pints on South Clinton Street just before 1:30 on the morning of June 4th, 2022. The two then walked outside and into the alley next door, where Abram allegedly pulled out a knife and slashed the other person’s right forearm and chin before stabbing them in the abdomen and fleeing the scene. A Snapchat video reportedly shows the two in the alley as Abram lunged at the other person while holding the knife and saying, “He pressed the issue” just after the stabbing.

A warrant for Abram’s arrest was issued four days later, and he was taken into custody last Saturday and charged with Disorderly Conduct. Court records show Abram pleaded guilty on Tuesday and was fined $105.
