An Iowa City woman was arrested after an investigation discovered she used another person’s credit card without permission.
Police say 39-year-old Toyisha Steel of Broadway Street made an unauthorized purchase at Walmart.com on October 6th, using a card that didn’t belong to her. The online store provided transaction history from Steel’s account, showing the unauthorized purchase was completed with the stolen card. The store also provided a picture taken by the delivery driver showing the purchase was dropped off at Steel’s residence.
She was charged with Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card and 5th degree Theft. If convicted on both counts, Steel could be sentenced to a maximum 25 months in jail.
