An Iowa City city councilor is resigning.

Andrew Dunn made the announcement on Tuesday. He says he’s resigning as of January 1st, 2025 because he expects his professional obligations with the local labor movement will increase within the next year. That includes more travel out of the area.

Dunn has been on the city council for two years. Plans for how to replace Dunn have yet to be announced by city officials.
