A 16-year-old is accused of stabbing an employee at an Iowa City Casey’s…and police say her mother was there for backup.
The incident occurred at the North Dubuque Street Casey’s just before 1:30 Saturday afternoon. Iowa City Police say 43-year-old Lametry Hall of East Bloomington Street met her 16-year-old daughter at the convenience store to collect a $200 debt from an employee. The daughter and the employee began fighting, with the daughter allegedly pulling out a knife and stabbing the man. The employee was able to break away and flee to the kitchen area, but Hall reportedly followed him and continued confronting him about the $200.
Hall is charged with 2nd Degree Robbery and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor. If convicted on both counts, she faces a maximum of over ten years in prison.
The daughter’s name and charges against her are not listed in police records.
