The burn ban for Johnson County has been lifted.
That’s according to a news release issued by Johnson County Emergency Management just before 1:45 Saturday morning. The email states North Liberty fire chief Brian Platz made the request to rescind the ban on behalf of all of the firefighting agencies which fully or partially serve Johnson County.
The lifting of the burn ban comes after rains soaked Johnson County Thursday night.
Burn bans remain in effect for Muscatine and Cedar Counties.
