An Iowa City man has been taken into custody after an alleged series of incidents involving violation of a no contact order.
Police say 37—year-old Abdulrasaq Ogundiran of Catskill Court was arrested on October 10th for incidents of domestic violence from that day and the day prior. The incidents allegedly involved strangulation, a knife, and child endangerment.
Ogundiran had his day in court on the 11th and was served with a no-contact order.
On October 18th, it was reportedly discovered that Ogundiran had called the victim’s cell phone three times on the day the no-contact order was issued using his Canteen account and that of another inmate.
The victim confirmed the phone number was hers, and claimed Ogundiiran may have been calling her phone to contact other family members.
He was charged with violation of a no contact order. Ogundiran was issued another no-contact order, and a hearing was set for October 31st.
