Iowa City Police say a man threw his walker at his mother, causing minor injuries.
According to arrest records, just before 1:00 Saturday afternoon 47-year-old Michael Richards of the Bon Aire manufactured housing community threw his walker at his mother, who lives with him, and caused bleeding to her right shin. Arriving officers say they saw Richards trying to break down a door behind which his mother was hiding to get away from him.
Richards is charged with Domestic Abuse Assault Causing Injury. If convicted, he faces a maximum of one year in jail.
