A vegetation fire next to Interstate 380 tied up traffic Thursday afternoon.
The fire was fire reported around 12:30 p.m. near mile marker 9, just north of the Iowa River Bridge. Fire departments from Swisher and North Liberty responded. Smoke from the blaze backed up traffic on northbound I-380 for about an hour.
No injuries were reported.
