Coralville residents can bring up to two cardboard boxes of papers per household to be shredded

Clean out your filing cabinet, help prevent identity theft, and shred and recycle documents at Coralville’s free document shredding event on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 8:00 am until 12:00 pm.

Coralville residents can bring up to two cardboard boxes of personal papers to the Coralville Community Aquatic Center parking lot, 1513 7th Street, to be securely shredded on site. This event will be held rain or shine.

Boxes of papers must be able to be reasonably lifted by one person. Limit two boxes per household. The shredding machines will process all fasteners, so there is no need to remove them. Any of the following can be put into the security containers with paper:

  • Any color or type of paper
  • Paper clips
  • Staples
  • Rubber bands
  • Labels
  • File tabs

All shredded material is baled and recycled to help protect the environment. This event is sponsored by the City of Coralville. For more information, please call 319.248.1740.
