A Thursday morning manhunt near Columbus Junction yielded no results, and the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office is now continuing to search for a wanted suspect.

The sheriff’s office issued a news release around 11:30 a.m. indicating they were looking for Brian Calvin, who is suspected in a domestic abuse and harassment situation at a residence on County Road W22. Calvin reportedly fled the house on foot before law enforcement could arrive.

The Columbus Junction Police Department, Winfield Police and the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office conducted multiple searches in the area with a K9 and a drone.  They also warned residents within a five-mile radius to lock up their properties. Investigators were unable to locate Calvin, who remains at large. The Sheriff’s Office says it will continue to monitor the area.

Anyone who sees Calvin or has contact with him is urged to immediately call 9-1-1.
