A Cedar Rapids man is accused of sending a package containing almost ten pounds of marijuana to a Coralville apartment.
According to arrest records, 24-year-old Pa Saine of 6th Street SW sent a package to the 5th Street apartment of 28-year-old Hans Phanor on June 6th. Police say the package contained about 9.75 pounds of marijuana. It was reportedly discovered inside the residence when a search warrant was executed.
Text messages between Saine and Phanor allegedly show Phanor asking for the marijuana to be delivered.
The Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation says the substance tested positive for marijuana. Phanor was arrested earlier this month. Saine was taken into custody earlier this week. Both men are charged with Controlled Substance Violations and Drug Tax Stamp Violations. If convicted on both charges, they each face a maximum of ten years in prison.
