The Domestic Violence Intervention Program (DVIP) will host an event to celebrate the organization’s 45th anniversary on Thursday, September 19th. The evening will feature two special events: a ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate The Terry Fortmann Emergency Shelter and a ticketed celebration event.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony takes place from 4 to 5 p.m. to mark the grand opening of the new emergency shelter. This event is free and open to the public;  everyone’s encouraged to attend and celebrate this milestone in expanding critical services for survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual violence, human trafficking, and stalking.

Following the ribbon-cutting, from 5-7:30 p.m., DVIP will host a ticketed 45th-anniversary celebration. The evening event will include light appetizers along with a selection of drinks.

DVIP is fundraising to support the over 2,500 victim-survivors that they serve every year. A silent auction will feature 15 unique art pieces available for bidding on the night of the event. Space is limited so supporters are encouraged to get tickets before the event.

Tickets for the anniversary celebration can be purchased at https://secure.lglforms.com/form_engine/s/9Cj0Bgr0NGXeUily5ogjMg.
