Hills firefighters had a busy Thursday night, as they were called to two building fires and medical call within a 15 minute span.

That’s according to a post on the Hills Fire Department Facebook page. The Johnson County Joint Emergency Communications Center web site shows a fire call at 8:32 p.m. in the Regency manufactured housing community and a second fire call on Anderson Avenue, just south of Iowa City, at 8:43 p.m.

Hills firefighters say the building fire responses were related to cooking. Both fires were contained to their object of origin and did not spread beyond. No occupants were injured due to the fires and no occupants were displaced. All occupants were allowed to reoccupy their residence once investigation and ventilation was completed.
