A Mount Pleasant man was arrested Sunday afternoon after he allegedly tried to entice an underage girl to have sex with him after she became of legal age.
Police say 28-year-old Marc Moehn of South Street began communicating with a female in Iowa City he believed to be under 16 years of age on July 20th. He allegedly told the girl they would have to wait three years until she was 18, but over the next month, Moehn reportedly asked her several times to send him photos. He also talked in great detail about sex acts that he wanted to engage in with her.
Moehn is also accused of sending three sexually explicit photos to the female. He then allegedly told the girl to delete the photos and messages.
A warrant was issued on August 20th.
Moehn has been charged with Grooming and Telephone Dissemination of Obscene Material to a Minor. If convicted, he faces a prison term of up to seven years. Pending his initial appearance, he is being held at the Johnson County Jail without bond.
