A Clinton woman was arrested after it was discovered she used a debit card located in a stolen U-Haul.
The incident reportedly occurred the afternoon of July 9th on the 1900 block of 8th Street in Coralville. 31-year-old Alyssa Edfors allegedly stole the rental vehicle and located a debit card inside. She reportedly used the card at HyVee Gas twice, and again at an undisclosed location in Ainsworth Iowa.
In total, Edfors spent $308 from the man’s account.
She was later located in possession of the card, and was seen on video using the card.
A warrant for Edfors’ arrest was issued on July 19th; she was charged Thursday with Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card, an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by a jail term not exceeding two years.
