An Iowa City man charged with providing false driver’s licenses to underage individuals was given a deferred judgement.

According to the criminal complaint, US Customs and Border Protection inspected and seized three internationally-shipped parcels on June 6th.  One of the parcels was addressed to 20-year-old Aden Clark of Clark Street and reportedly contained a total of six false driver’s licenses concealed within two small mirrors.  The licenses were allegedly made for three different individuals with two false licenses for each.  Witnesses and Snapchat account files reportedly showed that Clark was making, obtaining and possessing false driver’s licenses and blank cards.

Clark was charged with six counts of possession of a Fictitious Id and could have been sentenced to six years in prison if convicted on all counts. Instead, Clark pleaded guilty and was given a deferred judgement and one year probation earlier this month.
