Former University of Iowa wrestler Spencer Lee came up short in his bid for gold, earning a silver medal Friday afternoon at the Paris Olympics.
Lee, wrestling at 57 kilograms, lost 4-2 to Japan’s Rei Higuchi.
Incoming Hawkeye wrestler Kennedy Blades begins her quest for an Olympic medal on the women’s side this weekend. Her first match in the 76 kilogram tournament is set for 4 a.m., Iowa Time, on Peacock.
