The Hawkeye Wrestling Club will hold pre-dawn Olympic watch parties in downtown Iowa City Thursday and Friday.
The group will be at Donnelly’s on the Ped Mall to watch former University of Iowa wrestler Spencer Lee in his quest for a gold medal. The restaurant will be opening at 4:00 Thursday morning and 3:30 Friday morning. The group’s web site says attendees can, “Mingle with other loyal fans, snack on bagels and donuts, and wake up with a stiff drink (or two)!”
Because the event is happening outside of normal business hours, those who wish to attend must pre-register. Tickets range from $1 for those who just wish to watch to packages up to $15, which includes a commemorative cap and a drink token.

Friday’s event will be cancelled if Lee is eliminated from the tournament.
