A North Liberty woman was arrested for OWI after allegedly driving to the Johnson County Jail to bond out an inmate.

24-year-old Chloe Beckler of Deerfield Road reportedly arrived at the Jail at 7:25 Sunday night in a 2022 Toyota  to bond out an individual. Staff called her in because they believed her to be intoxicated.  An officer conducted an impaired driving investigation.

Beckler allegedly had bloodshot watery eyes, impaired balance, and had the odor of ingested alcohol.  She reportedly admitted to drinking, and after exhibiting measurable impairment on field tests failed a PBT. A subsequent Datamaster test showed her breath-alcohol level at .135 percent.

Beckler was charged with OWI first offense.
