A Chicago man was arrested over the weekend after allegedly driving while intoxicated with three small children.

Police stopped 31-year-old Kennard Daniels Saturday at approximately 12:17am as he was heading on the ramp at 250th street to I380 North at a high rate of speed, overtaking on the left at 90 miles an hour in a 70 miles per hour zone.

Upon contact, an odor of alcoholic beverage was detected. Daniels reportedly had bloodshot watery eyes, and submitted to field sobriety testing. A PBT showed his breath-alcohol level at .133 percent.

An opened bottle of Hennessey liquor was reportedly found on the passenger floorboard. Daniels also had three small children in the back of the vehicle; a seven-month old, a three year old, and a four year old.

He was charged with first offense OWI and three counts of Child Endangerment. If convicted on all counts, Daniels could be sentenced to up to seven years in prison.
