Former University of Iowa basketball star Megan Gustafson had a quiet game Saturday morning as her Spain team finished group play undefeated at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
Spain defeated Serbia 70-62. Gustafson, who had been averaging 23.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game in group play, only scored four points with nine rebounds on Saturday. The 2019 NCAA National Player of the Year is still averaging a double-double for the tournament, with 17 points and ten rebounds per contest.
Spain won Group A with a 3-0 record. They move on to Wednesday’s quarterfinals, with matchups and tipoff times still to be determined following Sunday’s games.
