An ongoing Iowa City home invasion investigation has resulted in the arrest of a Coralville man.

24-year-old Semaj House of the Western Hills Estates manufactured housing community was booked into the Johnson County Jail just before 6:15 Monday night. Iowa City Police say footage from a living room Ring camera shows House and two juveniles arrive at a Finkbine Lane apartment around 2:00 on the afternoon of May 13th. The footage reportedly shows House knock on the door, then punch a resident in the face when they answered. The alleged victim fell backwards into the apartment, and police say House continued the attack by entering the residence and punching the man again seven more times in the head while he was lying defenseless on the living room floor. The two juveniles then reportedly ran into a bedroom to attack the man’s son.

The adult victim suffered injuries to his face and bleeding from his mouth.

House is charged with 1st Degree Burglary. If convicted, he faces a maximum of 25 years in prison.
