An Iowa City woman has been fined after pleading guilty to charges she spit on the window of a downtown business that was displaying Donald Trump signs.
Iowa City Police say last month 23-year-old Samantha Shea of South Dubuque Street was walking by 138 South Clinton Street…the former site of Active Endeavors…when she spit on the window. The wife of the building’s owner was cleaning the window at the time of the incident.
Shea reportedly later told police she spit on the window because of the Trump signs. She was charged with 5th Degree Criminal Mischief. Earlier this week Shea pleaded guilty and was fined $105.
